It is a good time to make muhasabah to make sure you are really close to Allah, because only Allah can reward you with good grades based on your efforts. A dua or prayer is part of that efforts, and don’t forget put your tawakkal for Allah after all these efforts.
While the du’a is not exclusive for examinations, it is a sahih hadith reminding us that Allah reward us easiness with hardship (in efforts).
Reported by Anas bin Malik r.a:
(( اللهم لا سهل إلا ما جعلت سهلا , وأنت تجعل الحزن إذا شئت سهلا )) .
“Oh Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy.”Allahumma la sahla illa ma j’altahu sahla, wa Anta taj’al ulhazn idha Shi’ta sahla.
This is said for one whose affairs have become difficult.
al-Albani (As-silsilah Sahihah no 2886) Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (al-Futuhaat ar-Rabbaniyyah 4/25) Ibn Hibban in ‘Mawrid’ number 2427 and Ibn As-Sunni number 351 (these dua’s are declared as Sahih, by Abdul Qadir Al-Arna’ut, And Allah knows best.
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا • إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
94:5-6 as-Syarh (The Relief)“For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.”
